If you love superhero stories with high-stakes action, rich fantasy lore, deep family drama, and characters who have to fight just as hard for their choices as they do against monsters, then this comic was made for you.

What is Daybreak About?

Set in the humble, mystery-laden city of Saint Dawn City, Alaska, Daybreak follows Callidora solheart, a spunky, resilient young woman who enters Starcross Academy to find a lead on her family who had disappeared without a trace, the only remaining relative she has is her supposed grandfather Samson Solheart, but things take a turn when her dormant, unique power awakens, unlocking an unexpected destiny that reveals that perhaps samson's absences from the family was for good reason. Can Samson and callidora work togther to find their family or will they be overshadowed by the secrets that both buried long ago?

Between uncovering secret family histories, navigating academy life, battling terrifying entities, and unlocking ancient artifacts, Daybreak is a journey about finding your light even when the darkness feels overwhelming.

I created The Great Daybreak and Starlight out of a deep curiosity of combining Fantastical elements with a more grounded Superhero Narrative, what would knights's code and ethics be like if there was a power to keep them in the modern day and how would they combat the mystical threats alongside it. Exploring as well a mature narrative that deeply relatable but also full of intriguing actions, plot, and characters.

I’m currently working hard behind the scenes polishing script details, issue breakdowns, and background art concepts to bring Saint Juneau, Starcross Academy, and the world of Daybreak to life in full color!

Once the pages are ready, the comic will eventually be released online on popular Webcomic platforms like Webtoon and Tapas (as well as right here and on social media and log updates for previews, concept sketches, and character profiles!). My goal is to make animated content of daybreak eventually to give viewers the most entertaining experience.
